For the past years, I have been too absorbed trying to achieve and fulfill my goals that I have almost forgotten the feeling of blowing candles on my birthday.
I did not have any special plans on April 20, 2012 and thought of just staying at home, watch movies and chat with my family and friends from the Philippines, exactly the same as my birthdays from the past.
Knowing that my family had celebrated my birthday even if I am miles away from them was more than enough to make that day very special and worth treasuring.
I was surprised and couldn’t be happier that day. I was flooded with messages and greetings from Facebook. I was touched to see the greeting on a paper from my flatmates at home. Friends were kind and generous to prepare foods and cake then we went to a public beach in Half Moon, Al Khobar.
That day wouldn't be complete without my favorite activity, Photoshoot.
I remember being in a swimwear that almost looked like a one-piece bathing suit at Hilton Beach Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE few years ago. So I thought why can't I wear one in Saudi Arabia? But I was challenged to wear something that would still be me, not show too much skin and would show off my greatest asset, my pair of legs.
Life is a gift from God. Celebrate it! Have fun with the people we love and we care about.
